After an incredible November we move into December with 3 mondays of more amazing music at Mandagsklubben. Our artist in residence this month is the Great Richard Andersson.
Richard Andersson (b. Oct. 1982) is a Danish/Faroese/Icalandic bass player and composer based in Copenhagen. the first 3 weeks of december Richard Andersson will present 3 very different concerts of new exiting music on the 26th of december and january 2nd there is no mandagsklubben. we begin again january 9th

The first monday in december will be all about the guitar! there will be 5 very different guitarists featured this evening from the abstract 11strings of Julia Reidy to the pedal steel of Uffe Nørtoft.

we begin the month with a great duo consisting of the berlin based highly resourceful bassist Adam Pultz Melbye and Australian maverick 11string guitarist Julia Reidy. abstraction, overtones and strings...whats not to like!??!

Pianoplayer Simon Toldam is one of Scandinavias most exiting and acclaimed musicians from the current generation having performed with artists such as: Evan Parker, Peter Brötzman, Han Bennink, Chriss Speed and Dave Douglas. Fryland is everywhere! -playing drums in every constelation you can think of.... Richard Andersson is a danish/Faroese/Icelandic bass player who has released music with artist like Anderskov, Tranberg, Zeuthen, Bill McHenry, Tony Malaby, George Garzone and many others.

these guys are playing ,melodic, string instrument music, american soundscapes, they visited the club before as a quartet and now we are vey happy to have them back in a concentrated duo version!

this is a great drum/guitar duo consisting of two latvian artists presently residing in copenhagen. Maksimovs is a mandagsklubben regular...this will be our first encounter with mr Cudars. expect telepathic interplay of drums and strings

We end the evening with an absolutely killer trio consisting of three resident scandinavians. all of them regulars at mandagsklubben, Ericsson is an intense highly evolved improvisor, Berre is a driving force in the Barefoot collective and tours the world as an improvisor and Olson is the best news we have had on guitar for a long time in this country..
