Danish saxophonist Jens Søndergaard is an experienced jazz musician with large instrumental knowledge, which has been inspired by Art Pepper’s warm tone on the saxophone. He has played in several big bands throughout his career and collaborated with American jazz giants such as Lee Konitz and Benny Goldson. In 2009 he recorded an album called ‘A Time for Love’ with Kenny Werner, which got awarded as the best Danish jazz album in 2009 at the Danish Music Awards. Ole Kock Hansen, who is an excellent composer and musician with a strong rhythmic feeling and a good sense for harmony, will accompany Jens Søndergaard. The quartet consists of Lasse Lundström on bass and Aage Tanggaard on drums. Expect a performance rooted in the old musical jazz traditions with a modern day touch....
