Danish saxophonist Jens Søndergaard is an experienced jazz musician with large instrumental knowledge, which has been inspired by Art Pepper’s warm tone on the saxophone. He has played in several big bands throughout his career and collaborated with American jazz giants such as Lee Konitz and Benny Goldson. In 2009 he recorded an album called ‘A Time for Love’ with Kenny Werner, which got awarded as the best Danish jazz album in 2009 at the Danish Music Awards. Ole Kock Hansen, who is an excellent composer and musician with a strong rhythmic feeling and a good sense for harmony, will accompany Jens Søndergaard. Den danske saxofonist Jens Søndergaard er en erfaren jazzmusiker med et stort instrumentalt mesterskab, som bl.a. er inspireret af Art Peppers varme toner på saxofonen. Han har gjort sig i forskellige big bands gennem årene og bl.a. samarbejdet med de to amerikanske jazzstjerner Lee Konitz og Benny Goldson. I 2009 indspillede han duoalbummet ‘A Time for Love’ med den amerikanske pianist Kenny Werner, der endte som årets danske jazzplade i 2009 ved Danish Music Awards. Jens Søndergaard vil blive akkompagneret af jazzpianisten Ole Kock Hansen, som er en fremragende arrangør og musiker med en stærk rytmisk feeling og en fornem harmonisans. Udover Jens Søndergaard og Ole Kock Hansen består kvartteten også af Lasse Lundström på bas og Aage Tanggaard på trommer.
