Jazzhus Montmartre er stolte over at kunne præsentere én af fadoens store moderne stemmer, Cristina Branco, der de seneste år har rejst verden tyndt med et nutidigt take på den portugisiske folkemusik. I lighed med den argentinske tango og spanske flamenco emmer fadoen af lidenskab, og Cristina Branco lever og ånder gennem musikkens historie uden at være tynget af den. Tværtimod trækkes der tråde til Billie Holiday og Ella Fitzgerald, og ikke mindst til de store amerikanske folkesangere fra 60’erne og 70’erne som Joan Baez og Joni Mitchell.
